Its January 6th and you know what that means. No, we aren’t storming the Capitol, but Washington D.C. is a part of the story.
This Week in Charles Bronson Podcast fans worldwide are celebrating another year around the sun for ageless, Asian, Assassination co-star Jan Gan Boyd.
Although she’s worked with Michael Douglas in the Richard Attenborough classic “A Chorus Line”. She will always be remembered for a not so classic Cannon Film with Charles Bronson and Jill Ireland called Assassination. Don’t get me wrong, Assassination is a classic film here in the hallowed halls of TWICB, but even Boyd herself spoke of the financial issues that fell upon Cannon right in the middle of filming the film based around the assassination attempt of first lady Lara Royce Craig (Jill Ireland). Jan Gan plays Secret Service Agent, Charlotte Chang or Charlie to her friends and partner/ love interest Jay Killian (Charles Bronson).
Fans of the film most remember Bronson’s character Jay’s humorous line that he may die of a terminal orgasm or Jan Gan in bed in her lingerie eating strawberries.
Yes Ms. Boyd is most definitely attractive, but she is so much more than that. An amazing actress, dancer and all-around good spirit she has become quite the friend to Brad and me over here on the podcast. I insist that you listen to our interview with her on Spotify, Apple podcasts or watch it on YouTube, and please subscribe while you’re there. it’s free.
If you want to see Jan Gan at what I think is her best acting role search for War between The Classes, a CBS School Break Special. A film that is very close to her own heart as she fought Asian hatred and stereotypes very recently during covid.
While you’re at it wish the incomparable Jan Gan Boyd a very happy birthday and tell her This Week in Charles Bronson sent you.
I sent her a YouTube clip of Bob Dylan singing "Happy Birthday."
...to Brian Wilson.
Great article Eric about a great lady! Happy Birthday, Jan!
